McDonald Farm is the home of the Green Earth Institute, which leases 49 acres of farmland from The Conservation Foundation. The farm was donated to the Foundation by Mrs. Lenore McDonald, who moved to the farm with her husband in 1949. Historical records show that the property was first farmed by European settlers in the 1830s. Offices for The Conservation Foundation are on the property, in the farmhouse, also known as the Clow House.
